Talking with Them
When talking with children about salvation
keep the following suggestions in mind:
1. Be available and accessible.
2. Be conversational. (Ask open-ended questions)
3. Give the child your undivided attention.
4. Use the Bible; explain difficult words.
5. Listen to the child; listen for motives.
6. Use language that a child can understand. (REMEMBER THAT CHILDREN ARE CONCRETE THINKERS)
7. Let God be in charge. Trust Him to work the miracle of Christian conversion that only He can do.
Bible Verses
"For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God"
Romans 3:23
Plan of Salvation
1. Jesus has a plan for our life (Jeremiah 29:11)

2. There is a problem - SIN (Romans 3:23)
What is Sin? - A wrong choice, disobedience, stealing, cheating, lying, etc.
What does Sin do? - Our sin (choices) separates us from Jesus and we can not go to heaven.

3. The Punishment (Romans 6:23)
4. Ways people try to get to heaven
Say that they will never sin again.---Problem: We have already sinned and that one sin will separate us from God
Say that they will do good things for people.---Problem:
Doing good things will not take away sin.

5. The Solution - Jesus Died on the Cross for Our Sins (John 3:16)

6. What we have to do - REPENT
Example of repentance: Brother and sister having to say they are sorry.

7. How do we know we are saved? (Revelation 3:20)
Jesus tells us he will come into our hearts if we ask Him.

8. What now?
A) Read your Bible
B) Pray
C) Make right choices
